What is Burj Khalifa?

Burj Khalifa is a skyscraper located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is the tallest man-made structure in the world, as of my last update in September 2021.

The height of Burj Khalifa is approximately 828 meters (2,717 feet) with a total of 163 floors.

What are Burj Khalifa opening hours?

Burj Khalifa is open from 9h to 23h every day of the week.

Dubai Mall is open from 10h to 22h every day of the week.

Both buildings are open all year round.

Do you need ID to enter Burj Khalifa?

Yes, there is a simple security check where you will have to display your ID. You can carry your passport, driver’s license, or residence license. A. There is no particular dress code for Burj Khalifa.

How long does it take to visit the Burj Khalifa?

It’s really up to you how long you want to spend at the top of Burj Khalifa enjoying the views, but most people spend about one hour on average.

Make sure you give yourself another hour to get to the top, as there are likely to be queues for the elevators – unless you have a ticket that includes skip-the-line access – and all visitors are required to go through a security check, to show a valid ID and to check in the bag free of charge on the ground floor.

The 22 mph (35 kph) elevators zoom up to the observation deck in about a minute, which is pretty fast considering this is the tallest tower in the world!

What is the best time to visit the Burj Khalifa?

Either during sunset for great views or in the morning hours to avoid crowds, we would recommend these are the best times to visit Burj Khalifa. The best season to visit Dubai is in winter, between November to March.

A very nice tip: The Burj is so tall that you can watch the Dubai sunset from the ground floor, then cruise to the top and see the sun setting for a second time!

What can/can't I bring to the Burj Khalifa?

Anything larger than a small bag or purse will have to be checked in and collected on your return from the top. You’ll also have to check in strollers. No food is allowed, and no pets.

If you have a booking at Atmosphere, remember to wear your evening cocktail dresses, skirts, dress shirts, pants, suits, as you won’t be allowed to enter in shorts or tank tops.

During the day, on all other floors, you can wear what you normally would.

How long before my scheduled time should I arrive?

It is recommended to arrive at least 10-15 minutes before your scheduled admission time.

Are bags allowed At the Top?

Only personal handbags and purses are allowed At the Top. Shopping bags, sports bags, backpacks, and similar items must be stored in the secure baggage check room.
